Terms of Use

1. About these terms

Connect Meet IRL is a private, invitation-only community run by a group of volunteers (“we”). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2. Who can join

• You must be 21 or older and live in the United States.
• You join by invitation from a representative or an administrator, and your registration is reviewed by a person. We may approve or decline a registration at our discretion.
• The information and photos you provide must be accurate and your own. One account per person.

3. Your account

Keep your password and two-step verification to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@connectmeetirl.com if you think someone else has used it.

4. How members treat each other

This is a community built on trust. You agree not to:

• harass, threaten, pressure or disrespect anyone, online or at events;
• pretend to be someone else, or use photos that aren't of you;
• share another member's details, photos or messages outside the site without their permission;
• use the site to sell, promote, recruit or ask for money;
• try to access accounts or information you're not allowed to see, or disrupt the site.

5. Events

• Events are organized by volunteers. Details such as the venue, price and full description are shown to verified members, and organizers may change or cancel an event.
• You attend events at your own choice and risk, and you're expected to follow the venue's rules and these terms there too.

6. Payments and refunds

• Fees (the membership fee, when there is one, and event fees) are paid by Zelle from your own bank app to the organizers. The site never handles money; it only records the payment details you report, which an administrator checks.
• Payments are non-refundable, with one exception: if your registration isn't approved after your membership fee was confirmed, that fee is refunded to you by Zelle.
• Fees for events that are cancelled are currently kept. This may change, and these terms will say so if it does.
• Fees already paid aren't refunded if you deactivate or delete your account, or if your account is removed.

7. Safety and no guarantees

• Reviewing registrations is a check by volunteers, not a background check. Use good judgment when you meet anyone, and meet in public places.
• We don't promise matches, connections or any outcome from using the site or attending events.
• The site is provided as it is. We try to keep it running and accurate but can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free.
• To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for how members behave or for losses that come from using the site or attending events.

8. Leaving, and removal

• You can ask to deactivate your account (an administrator reviews it), or delete your account and data, from Settings (see the Privacy Policy for what deletion removes).
• We may deactivate or remove an account that breaks these terms, or when it's needed to protect members or the community.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the community and the site change. The effective date at the top shows the latest version; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
